Anatomy in Practice
This format is exclusively available to Guided Journey members.
Explore how anatomical structures, movement and individual variability shape the experience of āsana. Anatomical models and insights from contemporary movement science provide a starting point for observing and investigating functional anatomy directly through practice.
The interactive sessions are reserved for Guided Inquiry members and offer a small-group space for in-depth exploration, directly guided by Chiara.
From structure to embodied experience
This format brings anatomical models into dialogue with what we perceive and observe in āsana. Beginning with the group’s questions, we explore joints, movement directions, mobility, stability and individual variability, considering how anatomical structure may shape the experience of practice.
Anatomical images and models provide a starting point, which is then investigated through observation and embodied experience. Anatomy is therefore not studied in isolation, but as a perspective that can refine perception, alignment and decision-making in both practice and teaching.
